Boardroom Newcastle Indoor Skate Park is made of 98% recycled, reclaimed or recycled materials. Despite being a small skate park, at 4000 sq feet, our membership, who come from all over the North East and beyond, tell us that it provides varied possibilities for all different levels of experience. It is always evolving, with the recent developments, including an extended Mini ramp, mini-man's Mini, high roll-in, grind/rhythm section, and vert walls leading into the (basket) bowl offering new opportunities. The park has been built by the team (which has included over 90 young people and extreme sports and arts practitioners over the years), under the leadership of Rico, and so skaters and riders have had input at every stage. We aim to be a safe, friendly, and exciting environment for young people (and the young at heart!) to practice their skills and develop their arts. With our beginners, we play all kinds of games as part of the warm up, to encourage a sense of fun, cooperation, spatial aw areness and skate park etiquette. We also play host to community events, and hire out the skate park for birthday parties, training events, meetings and seminars.
